Blue Demons and Friars Square Off Tuesday Night in Providence

Providence stands at 18-11 overall and 8-8 in the BIG EAST. The Friars have won four straight including a 73-69 win over Marquette on Saturday. The Blue Demons are 9-20 overall and hold a 2-14 record in league play after Saturday's 82-79 loss against Seton Hall. Head coach Dave Leitao is in his fifth season at DePaul and his second since returning to the program after leading the Blue Demons three postseasons in three years from 2002-05. Overall, the 2016-17 campaign is Leitao's 11th as a head coach at the collegiate level. Providence is led by Ed Cooley who is in his sixth season leading the Friars.
Following the Providence game, DePaul plays its final regular-season game at Allstate Arena on Saturday against Xavier. The Blue Demons and Musketeers are scheduled for a 1 p.m. CT start on FOX Sports Networks and 670 The Score. Saturday's game is the last for DePaul in suburban Rosemont where the Blue Demons have primarily played their home games since December 1980. DePaul moves into Wintrust Arena starting next season in Chicago's McCormick Square neighborhood.
