DePaul Dance Team earns Top 20 Finish at UDA Nationals

The Blue Demons competed in Division 1 Jazz, the largest single category of the competition
CHICAGO - The DePaul Dance Team finished in 20th place at the recent UDA Dance Team National Championships, held at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando from Jan. 14-16.
Ninety-nine dance teams from across the nation participated in the three-day event at ESPN Wide World of Sports. The Blue Demons competed in Division 1 Jazz, the largest single category of the competition. The D1 Jazz national title was claimed by Cal State Fullerton.
The 2022 apprearance was just the second year at the UDA Championships for DePaul.
The UCA and UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team Championship was the first of its kind in 1980, created to reward spirit squads for their work on the sidelines and to create a venue in which they could be recognized for their talents and abilities. This championship has been featured on ESPN since 1983 and Varsity Spirit is one of ESPN's longest-running collaborators. Varsity Spirit partnered with the Walt Disney World Resort in 1995.
