Dance Team earns Top 20 Finish at 2023 Nationals

The DePaul Dance Team is returning from UDA College Nationals with a Top-20 finish!

The Blue Demons placed 19th in Division I Jazz, the largest category of the competition. Their performance on Saturday, Jan. 14, had a raw score of 96.633, with an event score of 84.029. Â

The University of Saint Thomas was crowned national champions with a score of 106.183, followed by Grand Canyon University and UC Santa Barbara. To view the full results, click here.Â

UDA College Dance Nationals are held at the Walt Disney World resort each January.  Teams can participate across a variety of performance styles, including Jazz, Hip-Hop, Pom, and Game Day. The 2023 appearance was the third year at the UDA Championships for DePaul.
Fourteen dancers comprise DePaul's team, returning members Nikki Allen, Sarah Zidell, Elliott Stephenson, and Jadyn Vrbancic.  Ten Blue Demons made their first trip to college nationals, including Grace Corneliusen, Kyia Dickerson, Autumn Jermakowicz, Marisa Barreiro, Francesca Corona, Alannah Delaney, Ashlin Lee, Amanda Operana, Jacob Schmidt and Nina Zoppi.
