DePaul Athletics Prepares for 2024 Blue Demon Challenge

CHICAGO – As Blue Demons everywhere welcome in 2024, DePaul University and DePaul Athletics are proud to announce Jan. 31 as the date for this year's Blue Demon Challenge. The 24-hour fundraising event is an opportunity for alumni, parents, friends, students, faculty and staff to come together and give back to an area of the University that means the most to them.
In this year's Blue Demon Challenge, the University and Athletic Department aim to increase the total amount of unique donors. In the last two years, the Athletics Department has raised more than $4 million with 4,500 gifts.
"We are in a transformative time of college athletics, and our student-athlete experience is so directly impacted by each and every financial gift," said Vice President and Director of Athletics DeWayne Peevy. "The last two years, the results of Blue Demon Challenge have allowed us to make concrete progress toward our 5-Year Strategic Plan, including fully funding scholarships for each of our programs. This year's Blue Demon Challenge is no different as we embark on a transformative facility project that will benefit each of our 15 athletic programs on their journeys to Dream Big."
As Jan. 31 approaches, there are various ways to help support the Blue Demon Challenge.
- Work with the Athletics Development Staff to create your own Challenge. The Blue Demon Challenge will amplify your gift and inspire others to support our student-athletes.
- Make a gift to any area at DePaul you care about most! (You can make a gift early at challenge.depaul.edu).
- Become a Blue Demon Challenge ambassador.
- Let others know about the Challenge! Send an email, text a friend, or post to social media directing your network to challenge.depaul.edu. Tag your posts with #BlueDemonChallenge.
