Blue Demons Install State-of-the-Art Video Board at Wish Field & Cacciatore Stadium

CHICAGO – DePaul Athletics recently completed the installation of a new, state-of-the-art video board at Wish Field and Cacciatore Stadium that will be used for the men's and women's soccer programs, softball program, community rentals, and enhanced corporate partner advertising. The board was installed through an ongoing partnership with Daktronics and Sievert Electric.
The new outfield display measures approximately 8.5 feet high by 37 feet wide and features 10-millimeter pixel spacing to bring excellent image clarity and contrast to every piece of data and digital content shown on the screen. It features industry-leading environmental protection measures, ensuring it operates as expected in the Chicago outdoors. The new video board replaces the facility's scoreboard, which was originally installed over a decade ago, and was scheduled for replacement.
"We're committed to continuing to enhance the championship experience for our student-athletes, coaches, and fans alike by completing state-of-the-art enhancements like this video board replacement project," said Vice President and Director of Athletics DeWayne Peevy. "Materials and parts for our previous scoreboard and videoboard were becoming difficult and expensive to obtain. This improvement allows us to significantly modernize the fan experience, increase our visibility, and enhance self-generated revenues via new advertising inventory."
The display is capable of variable content zoning allowing for an enhanced game day experience including live video, instant replays, up-to-the-minute statistics, radar-tracked pitch speed, and enhanced video features. The video display will greatly enhance the gameday experience for DePaul men's and women's soccer and softball programs, while also expanding neighborhood offerings, and corporate partnership inventory as it faces the Fullerton 'L' station platform.
Included with the equipment installation, DePaul University will also receive a digital content package to be produced and delivered by Daktronics Creative Services, an in-house, award-winning creative team.
