Men's Tennis Team 1967 -
- Induction:
- 2010
The 1967 DePaul Men's Tennis team finished the season with a 22-3 record and finished in fifth-place at the NCAA Division II Championship. Additionally, the team claimed the Chicagoland Championship. Members of the team included Ray Bachmann, Ray Cahnman, Terry Garvey, George Hahn, Allen Kiel, Mel Searles and Steve Williams.Â
Coached by Jim Seri, he team was nicknamed "The Lost Boys" since most of the players were local kids from families that would've had difficulty paying for a college education. Seri himself originally anticipated becoming DePaul's first golf coach, but a last-minute switch left him heading up the tennis program with minimal tennis experience.Â
