Student-Athlete Advisory Committee
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is a student-athlete-led leadership group created by the NCAA as part of its governance structure. At DePaul, SAAC is a representative advocacy committee: it brings student-athlete feedback to the Senior Vice President/Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator (SWA), works to understand the experiences of fellow athletes, and helps create an inclusive, welcoming department.
Along the way, SAAC builds relationships across teams, opens doors to interests beyond athletics, and amplifies the student-athlete voice.
Committees
SAAC's work runs through three standing committees.
Community Service
Plans and runs community service events for the athletics department, giving back to the community and advancing DePaul's Vincentian mission.
Inclusion & Belonging
Brings student-athletes together and fosters an environment of inclusion across teams.
Athlete Unification
Unites athletes from different teams in support of one another, highlighted by SAAC games for each sport.
