Anna Marie Marassa
- Induction:
- 2007
Anna Marie Marassa was a volleyball student-athlete (1982-1985) and, later, Blue Demon Volleyball Head Coach. Marassa was a three-time All-North Star Conference honoree, selected as the team’s most valuable player as a freshman, sophomore and senior. By graduation, Marassa was the program’s all-time assist leader and, at the time of her induction into the Hall of Fame, ranked fifth in the Blue Demon record book with 1673 career assists.
During her coaching career, Marassa was named North Star Conference Coach of the Year (1990) and guided the Blue Demons to a program-best 32-7 mark. Additionally, Marassa helped the program to the NCAA Tournament berth in 1993 — the first non-basketball NCAA Tournament appearance in DePaul’s history.
