Bill Haig played for DePaul men's basketball from 1958-61, appearing in 72 games with an average of 11.9 points per game. Haig was a part of a well-known backcourt in the 60s featuring himself and Howie Carl. Behind Haig, the Blue Demons posted 17-7 and 17-8 records in his final two seasons and had three-straight postseason appearances.
Haig, an Army veteran, went on to serve as a teacher in the Chicago Public School system for over 30 years, coaching baseball and football.
