Diane Bryniarski

Diane Bryniarski was a member of DePaul University’s inaugural softball team from 1977 to 1979, helping establish the program in its earliest years as Title IX began expanding opportunities for women in collegiate athletics. She also captained the DePaul women’s basketball team to a 23-4 record in 1979, including the program’s first overtime game, showcasing her leadership and athletic versatility. After her playing days, Bryniarski enjoyed a long career in education and administration, continuing to support young people and the sport she helped build.
