Donald Swanson
- Induction:
- 1985
Donald “Don” Swanson was a standout guard for DePaul University between 1963 and 1966. Over 76 games he averaged about 11.8 points and 4.9 rebounds per game, including a senior season with strong scoring and rebounding numbers. His efficient shooting (over .550 field goal percentage in his final year) marked him as one of the top players in DePaul men’s basketball during the mid-1960s.
In recognition of his contributions to the program he was inducted into the DePaul Athletics Hall of Fame in 1985. After his college career he was selected in the 1966 NBA draft by the Chicago Bulls. While public sources do not clearly show his post-college playing or professional history, his impact at DePaul remains well-remembered.
