Erin Moffett became DePaul's first cross country All-American in 2002 and went on to cement a legacy. She was 2002 Conference USA Athlete of the Year and went on to win the NCAA Midwest Regional before finishing 37th overall at NCAA Championships. Moffett also was the 2001 Conference USA Cross Country Champion, 2004 Conference USA Indoor 3,000-meter Champion and 2004 Conference USA Outdoor 3,000-meter steeplechase Champion.

Moffett remains the school record holder for the 10,000-meter run, 3,000-meter run and 3,000-meter steeplechase and is a member of the record-holding 4x1500-meter relay team. She continued her running career professionally, competing in the 2016 and 2020 US Olympic Marathon Trials.
