Jim Birgans

Jim Birgans was a member of the Blue Demon Men’s Track and Field from 1980 to 1984. At the time of his induction into the Hall of Fame, Birgans held the 100m record (10.44) set in 1983. Additionally, in 1984, he was a member of the distance medley relay team that held a record of 9:58.21. Individually, he owned records in the 60m, 200m, 300m and 400-yard races. From 1979 to 1984, Birgans held all top 10 times in the 100m dash, nine of the top 10 times in the 200m dash and six of the top 10 times in the 400m dash.
By the end of his career, Davis was named the Most Outstanding Performer three times for indoor track and four for outdoor track.
