Jim Riebandt

Jim Riebandt served as the Men’s Basketball Public Address Announcer since 1977. Riebandt was responsible for lines such as, “two-shots,” “attempting the 3-point-play,” “three- for thirty-three, Drake Diener,” “The People’s Choice” Sam Menella and Jack Latner, and “Raquet Man” - Jason Tune. Riebandt announced three NCAA Tournaments, three NIT’s, and Ray Meyer’s 1,000 game.Â
At the 2006 Hall of Fame induction, Jim Riebandt received the Dr. Robert Hamilton Special Service Award.
