A two-time All-American and five-time BIG EAST Champion, Matt Babicz competed for DePaul from 2010-15 and remains one of the most decorated throwers in program history. Babicz earned All-America honors in shot put at the 2014 Indoor NCAA Championships, and again in 2015 with a seventh-place finish to earn first team status.
A six-time NCAA Championship qualifier, Babicz helped DePaul to a silver medal team finish at the 2014 BIG EAST Outdoor Championships. He won three consecutive indoor shot put titles and two outdoor crowns while adding runner-up finishes in shot put and discus. His 2015 indoor mark of 19.17m remains one of the best in conference history, and his 19.27m throw still stands as the BIG EAST Outdoor Championship record.
