M.C. Thompson played for DePaul men's basketball from 1960-63 where he made himself a presence as one of the best rebounders in program history. Across 71 career games, Thompson averaged 15.6 points and 13.7 rebounds per game. With a career total of 972 rebounds, his sum ranks second in program-history only to Dave Corzine. Thompson's 13.7 average however remains the program record, over 60 years later.Â
Thompson helped lead DePaul to the 1960 and the 1963 National Invitational Tournament before being drafted in the second round of the 1963 NBA Draft by the Baltimore Bullets.Â
