Nicholas Yost

Nicholas “Nick” Yost was a standout forward/center for DePaul University from 1934 through 1937. After his college career, he played professionally in the National Basketball League for the Hammond Ciesar All-Americans from 1938 to 1940. Born in Chicago in 1915, Yost was known for his size, versatility, and all-around game at a time when basketball was still evolving. In recognition of his achievements with DePaul and in the professional ranks, he was inducted into the DePaul Athletics Hall of Fame in 1983.
