Rita Hale

Chicagoland native, Rita Hale played for Blue Demons Women’s Basketball team from 1990-93. Throughout her time with the University, Hale and her team never failed to appear in the NCAA Tournament. The Blue Demons became one of only 18 national programs to reach the tournament consecutively throughout the early 90s. Hale was a back-to-back All-Great Midwest selection during the 1991-92 and 1992-93 seasons, leading in both scoring and rebounding.Â
Hale finished her career as the 17th all-time in scoring at DePaul with 1217 points. Additionally, the Blue Demons finished with an 82-41 season record and a 37-9 conference mark throughout her time with the program.Â
