Ron Feiereisel

Ron Feiereisel played for DePaul men's basketball from 1950-53 where he helped the Blue Demons to their second NCAA Tournament in program history in 1953. Feiereisel played in 80 games across three seasons for DePaul, averaging 13.8 points throughout his career. As a senior, Feiereisel averaged 18.0 points per game and earned honorable mention All-America honors.Â
Feiereisel was drafted in the second round of the 1953 Minneapolis Lakers, where he would debut in 1955 and play in 10 games, following a two-year stint with the Army.Â
Feierisel later coached at DePaul Academy (now DePaul Prep), leading the school to the 1959 Chicago Catholic League title. He also coached at St. Viator High School and was a long-time referee for the American Basketball Association and the Big Ten Conference.Â
He served as the DePaul women's basketball coach for four seasons from 1980-84 where he had a 61-57 record.Â
