Ron Griggs was a standout member of the DePaul University men’s golf team from 1981 to 1983. His accomplishments on the course and lasting impact on the program earned him induction into the DePaul Athletics Hall of Fame in 2002.
After his collegiate career, Griggs remained deeply connected to DePaul golf as an organizer and leader of the Rev. Austin Minogue Memorial Golf Outing. His commitment to this annual event has helped raise vital funds for scholarships and program development, ensuring that future Blue Demons golfers have the resources they need to succeed.
Griggs’s passion for the sport extended beyond his own playing career, as he also encouraged his son Ronnie to compete at DePaul and continue the family’s legacy in Blue Demon golf.
