Stan Szukala

Stanley Szukala played for DePaul men's basketball from 1937-40 where he was a two-time All-American and served as team captain for the Blue Demons in 1940. Holding a key role on the team, Szukala helped the Blue Demons to a 22-6 record in 1939-40. Following his time at DePaul he played for the Chicago Bruins and the Chicago American Gears, where he would win the 1947 NBL Championship alongside fellow DePaul alum, George Mikan.Â
