Stanley Brundy played for the Blue Demons from 1985-89, ultimately graduating as the ninth all-time leader in rebounding with 835 in his career. Brundy also ranks 16th in all-time scoring (1,375) and is one of six players in program history to rank top-20 in both categories - alongside program legends Stephen Howard, Tyrone Corbin, Curtis Watkins, Terry Cummings and Dave Corzine. In Brundy’s career-best game, he poured in 47 points in the 1988 Old Style Classic title game at Rosemont Horizon which ended with a 115-111 Blue Demon win against Loyola Marymount. Two weeks later, Brundy accumulated 41 points and 23 rebounds in a 122-108 victory once again over LMU.Â
Brundy was ultimately selected in the second round of the 1989 NBA Draft by the New Jersey Nets, launching a professional career that would last 16 years throughout the NBA and the Continental Basketball league (CBA).Â
