Susan Coleman Labovic

First baseman Susan Coleman Labovic played for Blue Demon Softball from 1985 to 1989. Throughout her time with the university, Labovic set the All-Time Season Record for walks (54) and holds the corresponding 1985 NCAA record. Additionally, Labovic ended her career ranking third in defensive changes. She was the recipient of the 1986 North Star Conference Academic Honor Roll and, in her senior year, Labovic was awarded DePaul Softball’s Most Outstanding Player (1989).
Labvoic later received the DePaul’s Jean Nordberg Award for Excellence in Academics, Athletics and Character. Post-graduation, Labovic spent five years coaching softball alongside Eugene Lenti while pursuing a Master’s in Elementary Education at DePaul University.Â
