The following season, the Blue Demons advanced to the NCAA Second Round and won the inaugural Conference USA championship (1996).Â
ÂWithin the Conference USA, Hicks averaged 14.1 points per game her senior year. At that time, she also ranked 6th in assists and, in steals, 10th in the overall league. Additionally, Hicks was named to the All-Conference USA Team. In the Blue Demon record book, Hicks finished her time at DePaul as the 7th all-time in the three-point percentage.
