Veronica Ross

Veronica “Smurf” Ross’s career with Blue Demon Women’s Basketball ran from 1986-1990. At the time of her induction into the Hall of Fame, Ross was one of only 19 women to finish her career with over 1,000 points scored. Additionally, Ross set a school record with 672 assists and held the five-best single-game assist totals in school history. Her coach, Doug Bruno, referred to Ross as, “the best defensive guard and ball distributor [he] ever coached.”
Ross participated in the 1986 Olympic Festival and earned the All-North Star Conference honors in 1988 and 1989.
