Vic Cacciatore joined DePaul University's board of trustees in 1973. Throughout his time with DePaul, Cacciatore assisted in securing the Goldbatt’s building and Blackstone Theater (now the Merle Reskin Theater). Cacciatore played a crucial role in bringing the Goodman School of Drama to the Blue Demon community. His investment also prompted the construction of Cacciatore Stadium, home of the Blue Demon softball and soccer teams. Additionally, his endowments for DePaul College of Law include the Victor J. Cacciatore annual scholarship award and the Joseph Cacciatore Classroom.Â
At the time of his induction into the Hall of Fame, Cacciatore received the Dr. Robert Hamilton Special Service Award for his enhancement of university academics, facilities and the athletics department.
