Giandelone, Samayoa Pace Men's Cross Country

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN - Eric Giandelone was DePaul's top finisher and was joined in the top 10 by Luis Samayoa at the Murray Keating Memorial Championships on Saturday, September 9 on Purdue's campus.
Giandelone, a senior from New Orleans, La., finished seventh overall with a time of 26:01.90. Samayoa, junior from Chiago, was ninth in 26:15.20.
DePaul's second finisher was sophomore Larry Vonckx who completed the course in 27:26.40 to place 29th overall. Freshman Darshan Patel was the Blue Demons' third finisher and 41st overall in 28:46.60.
Patel was immediately followed by Kim Trieu (29:16.70), Brian McCabe (29:37.10), Rick Britton (20:26.00), Chris Chiakulas (20:49.20) and Kai Murray (32:24.00).
Head coach Gordon Thomson's squad will be in action again on Saturday when it runs at the Midwest Collegiate Championships in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
