The only school to better DePaul was conference rival Marquette, while the Blue Demons downed UIC, Chicago State, UW-Milwaukee, Loyola and Detroit Mercy.
Frank Guzman was the only other DePaul athlete to take home a first place finish as he claimed top honors in the shot put with a school record throw of 54 feet 8 inches.
Aiding the team's efforts in the meet was the fact five athletes registered second place finishes in addition to the pair of victories. Heading the group was Matt Plano and his school record breaking run in the 3000m. Plano crossed the tape in 8:21.13.
Andre McPherson (55 H, 7.79), Luis Samayoa (Mile, 4:22.66), 4x400m relay (3:24.82) and Crothers (200m, 22.73) rounded out the runners up.
The team travels to Indianapolis, Ind. for the Smith Barney Invitational this weekend.
