Rygh Leads Pack At Smith Barney Invite

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. (Jan. 31) - Freshman Leah Rygh posted a personal best time in the 800 meters at the Smith Barney Invitational hosted by Butler University to place sixth in the event. Her time of 2 minutes 18 seconds and 48 hundredths is the best mark in Conference USA this season.

Kim Smith followed up a strong showing from the previous week by placing fourth in the 60m and fourth in the long jump. Her 7.80 was the fifth best time in the conference this year and her leap of 5.84m is third best.

For the third week in a row, high jumper Katie Sullivan produced a jump of 5 feet 4 inches. She took home a third place finish with the effort.

The meet was not scored, so there was no team champion. DePaul's next meet is this weekend when the Blue Demons travel to Kent State for the Golden Flash Open.
