Men's Cross Country Places 15th at NCAA Regionals

PEORIA, Ill. – At the NCAA Midwest Regional on Saturday, the DePaul men’s cross country team placed 15th out of 21 teams in Peoria, Ill. Gavin Kennedy paced the team with a 49th-place overall finish on the 10,000-meter course.
Kennedy ran the race in 31:55.29 to finish 49th. He was followed by Anthony Becknek in 60th overall at 32:07.58. Donnie Warner and Richard Byrne were up next for the Blue Demons in 79th and 83rd, respectively. Warner cleared the course in 32:39.40 and Byrne finished in 32:43.22. Dan Graca and Clayton Smith finished the action for DePaul with times of 35:19.78 and 36:35.29.
Minnesota took the team title with 48 points followed by Oklahoma State with 79 team points. The Golden Gophers placed two runners in the top three, including individual champion Andrew Carlson in a winning time of 29:48.44.
