Course Information and Directions
CHICAGO – Head coach Gordon Thomson and the men’s and women’s cross country teams begin the 2004 season where they hope to end it at the Indiana State Invitational. Indiana State is the host of the 2004 NCAA Championships at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center in Terre Haute, Ind.
The women’s team kicks off the season with a 5,000-meter race at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The men’s team follows at 11:15 with an 8,000-meter race.
There will be 14 women’s teams and 13 men’s teams competing. On the men’s side, the Blue Demons will compete with Butler, Eastern Michigan, Greenville, Indiana State, Navy, Oakland City, Ohio Northern, Purdue, Rose-Hulman, Saint Louis, Southeast Missouri and Vincennes. Women’s teams at the Indiana State Invitational include Arkansas, Butler, Greenville, Indiana State, Michigan, Oakland City, Ohio Northern, Rose-Hulman, Saint Louis, Southeast Missouri, Vincennes, UAB and West Virginia.
Following the Indiana State Invitational, the Blue Demons travel to South Bend, Ind., for the National Catholic Cross Country Invitational. The meet hosted by Notre Dame takes place on Friday, Sept. 17.
