Results
Conroy finished the men’s 8K race with a time of 25:36 to grab 12th place in the individual standings. Freshman Luke Rygh followed and took 19th with a time of 26:03 and freshman Jakub Kolacz finished 11 seconds later to place 24th with a time of 26:14.
Sophomore Rob Morgan crossed the finish line at 27:05 to take 44th and sophomore Jeremy Applebaum followed at 27:38 to place 68th and round-out the top five finishers for the Blue Demons.
The men’s top five totaled a score of 166 in the field of 31 squads. Fellow BIG EAST squads Notre Dame and Marquette took first and second place in the standings with respective scores of 48 and 58.
Cheatham paced the women’s team for the first time of her collegiate career, finishing 22nd overall with a 5K time of 19:16. Freshman Cassey Lynn finished second for DePaul, placing 52nd at 20:06.
Freshman Sabrina Petri finished 143rd with a time of 21:50 and senior Colleen Stiles-Shields took 177th at 22:51. Junior Nicole Roesner closed out the top five Blue Demon women, finishing 224th with a time of 26:03.
The women’s squad combined for a score of 618 in a field of 34 squads. Notre Dame and Marquette tied for first place, each with a score of 28.
DePaul’s season continues Friday, September 29 on the very same course with the Notre Dame Invitational.
