The Screamin' Demons Band, along with the DePaul Cheer and Dance Teams lead the crowd and perform at all men’s and women’s home basketball games. Spirit Team members also travel to post-season tournaments. In addition, the DePaul Cheer and Dance Programs are active ambassadors of the University, performing at many internal and external events. Students currently enrolled at DePaul University are eligible for tryouts in the Fall and Spring of each year.
If you have school spirit and a commitment to cheerleading that is second only to your education, then we are looking for you!
Screamin’ Demons Band
If you play an instrument and want to get involved this basketball season, there is no better way to support your Blue Demons! The Screamin' Demons band plays selections from Chicago, the Blues Brothers, Michael Jackson, and many other well known artists. They are an important presence at every basketball game. The Screamin’ Demons Band performs at all men’s and women’s home basketball games and travels to post-season tournaments, including the BIG EAST Men's Championship in New York City and the Women’s BIG EAST Basketball Championship in Hartford, Conn.
The Screamin' Demons Band is comprised of DePaul students and alumni primarily from DePaul's renowned School of Music. An audition for membership in the band is open to all interested DePaul students, alumni and friends of DePaul. Group auditions are held in September of each year through the DePaul School of Music. Information regarding auditions is posted one month prior to the audition date on this site.
