Men's Tennis Enters WMU Vredevelt Invitational

CHICAGO The DePaul men’s tennis team travels to Kalamazoo, Michigan this weekend to compete in the Western Michigan Vredevelt Invitational. The bracket-style tournament runs Friday through Sunday at the West Hills Athletic Club.
The Blue Demons join a field of competition that includes talent from Bradley, Michigan State, WMU and BIG EAST Conference rival Louisville. The tournament format features two doubles draws and four singles draws.
All doubles matches will be played on Friday beginning at 4 p.m. (CST), while singles competition opens on Saturday at 8 a.m. The tournament wraps up on Sunday with singles finals starting at 7 a.m.
DePaul competed last week at the Wilson/ITA Midwest Regional Championships in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Juniors Austin Doerner and Jose Moncada posted a victory in the main doubles draw, as did sophomore Alasdair Graetz and freshman Adam Williams. In addition, Moncada gave the Blue Demons a win in the main singles draw.
The Vredevelt Invitational marks the final event of DePaul’s fall tournament schedule.
