Women's Cross Country Earns Academic Honors

CHICAGO – Following its second season as a member of the BIG EAST Conference, the DePaul women’s cross country team was recognized for its performance in the classroom. The team earned All-Academic Cross Country Team Honors from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The Blue Demons’ team grade point average of 3.605 ranked ninth among the 145 Division I women’s cross country programs that received honors.
To be named All-Academic by the USTFCCCA, a team has to carry a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and participate in an NCAA regional meet. DePaul competed at November’s NCAA Midwest Regional Championship in

The DePaul women’s cross country program boasts a history of excellence in the classroom. The 2005-06 academic year saw Colleen Stiles-Shields, Carrie Moffett and Kuhta each record a perfect 4.0 term GPA. In addition, six members of the team earned BIG EAST Academic All-Star honors.
