Men's Tennis to Compete at the Louisville Fall Invitational

CHICAGO The DePaul men’s tennis team makes its second stop of the season this weekend at the 11th Annual Louisville Fall Invitational. The bracket-style tournament features three flights of both singles and doubles play, and will be played at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
The Blue Demons join a field of competition including Cleveland State, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, Illinois State, Indiana, Indiana State, Kentucky, Lander, Louisville, Morehead State, South Dakota State, Southern Illinois, Toledo, UT-Martin, Western Kentucky, Wright State, and Xavier.
DePaul competed last at the Wildcat Fall Invitational at Northwestern. Senior Jose Moncada led the team wtih four victories in the main singles draw, in addition to the three doubles wins he posted when partnered with junior Alasdair Graetz. Also representing the Blue Demons is senior Austin Doerner, who registered two victories each in singles and doubles play. He'll be joined by junior Vanja Grgec, sophomores Tim Cadet, Ben Harman, and Bartosz Jozwiak, and freshman Juan Xavier Munoz.
The Louisville Fall Invitational marks the team's last tournament before the ITA Midwest Regional Championships held in Columbus, Ohio on Oct. 16-20.
