DePaul Junior Claims Third BIG EAST Weekly Honor

CHICAGO- After running a career-best time of 23:37 at the Bradley Classic, DePaul's Matthew Graham was named BIG EAST athlete of the week for the third time this season. Graham's third honor this year increases his career total to five Athlete of the Week honors from the BIG EAST.
Graham earns male cross country athlete of Athlete of the Week honors after setting a new course record at the Bradley Classic. The race was held at Newman Golf Course in Peoria, Ill. which is the host site for the NCAA Midwest Regional. Graham held off Iowa's Jeff Thode to win the 8K race with a career best time.
During the 2010 regular season, Graham continued to be a leader for the Blue Demons and won four out of the five races.
On the women's side, Villanova's Sheila Reid was named BIG EAST female cross country Athlete of the Week after leading the No. ranked Villanova women to a first-place finish.
This was the last of the BIG EAST cross country weekly awards for the 2010 season. DePaul competes next at the BIG EAST Cross Country Championships on Oct. 30 in Jamesville, N.Y.
