Blue Demons Set for Regionals

CHICAGO- The DePaul men's and women's cross country teams travel to Peoria, Ill. on Sat., Nov. 13 for the 2010 NCAA Midwest Regional Championships. Saturday's meet at Newman Golf Course opens with a women's 6K at 11 a.m. and is followed by a men's 10K at 12:15.
The Midwest Regional Championship includes individuals from 33 women's teams and 29 men's squads. The top two teams in each race along with the top four individual finishers not on the top two teams will automatically advance to the NCAA Championships, held on Nov. 22 in Terre Haute, Ind.
This is the second time this season the Blue Demons will run at Newman Golf Course, earlier this season the team competed at the Bradley Classic.
Junior Matthew Graham leads the men's team after finishing third at the BIG EAST Championships. Graham has been named BIG EAST Athlete of the week on three occasions the last time coming after he won the Bradley Classic with career best time of 23:37.
Toni Salvatore has paced the women's team in every race that she has competed in. Salvatore finished in 41 at the BIG EAST Championships. At the Bradley Classic she finished the women's 6K race in eighth, with a time of 21:37.
DePaul's next chance to compete in post-season action will be at the NCAA Championships.
