Hampton and Naughton Earn All-American Honors

CHICAGO - DePaul women's basketball standouts junior Keisha Hampton and senior Deirdre Naughton were both named Associated Press Honorable Mention All-Americans it was announced Tuesday.
The award is the first for Hampton and the second for Naughton, who earned Honorable Mention honors as junior.
Hampton led DePaul in scoring and ranked fourth in the BIG EAST Conference with 16.0 points per game this season. The Philadelphia native scored double figures in 30 of DePaul's 36 games and led the Blue Demons with 61 steals.
The unanimous first-team All-BIG EAST selection, Hampton averaged 1.7 3-pointers per game while her .356 (62-for-174) 3-point field goal percentage ranked 14th in the league.
During DePaul's postseason run, Hampton averaged 17.4 points while she scored a career-high 31 points in the Blue Demons' semifinal BIG EAST Championship loss to Notre Dame.
Naughton appeared in 24 games this season after returning from an ACL injury that saw her miss all but five games in 2009-10.
The senior from Winnetka, Illinois scored 17 points in DePaul's Regional Semifinal loss to No. 6/6 Duke.
Naughton was 22-of-52 (.423) from 3-point range, while she hit multiple triples in four games. She recorded a season-best, five 3-pointers at Syracuse on Feb. 8.
The 2010-11 edition of the Blue Demons set numerous school-records including wins (29), games played (36), a second-seed at the BIG EAST Championship and a third seed in the NCAA tournament.
DePaul graduates five seniors - Sam Quigley, Felicia Chester, China Threatt, Jennifer Juergens and Naughton.
