CHICAGO -- DePaul women's basketball assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Kathleen Doyle was named a Thirty Under 30 honoree by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.
The WBCA Thirty Under 30 program recognizes 30 up-and-coming women's basketball coaches aged 30 and under at all levels of the game. Each honoree has exemplified a commitment to community service, mentorship, impact on others, professional conduct and involvement in professional organizations. This marks the 10th year of the WBCA Thirty Under 30 program.
Doyle made an immediate impact in her first season on the bench in Chicago, working primarily with the guard unit while leading DePaul's recruiting efforts. She tutored junior guard Kate Novik to All-BIG EAST Second Team honors while averaging a team-high 12.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
"We are thrilled the WBCA has chosen to honor Kathleen Doyle as part of its Thirty Under 30 program," said head coach Jill M. Pizzotti. "Kathleen's basketball knowledge and insight, on-court energy, tireless work ethic and willingness to share her talents daily have made a significant impact on our staff. Coach 'KD' is a rising star and well deserving of this recognition."
Prior to joining the Blue Demons, Doyle began her coaching career at Virginia Tech, where she served one season as Director of Recruiting and Player Personnel. A native of La Grange, Ill., Doyle enjoyed a standout playing career, earning 2020 Big Ten Player of the Year honors at Iowa along with AP All-America recognition as a senior. She was selected in the 2020 WNBA Draft and went on to compete professionally overseas in Poland and Turkey. In addition to her collegiate coaching duties, Doyle is currently serving a four-year term on the United States Junior National Team Committee through 2029.
This marks the third straight year that a member of DePaul's coaching staff has been recognized as a Thirty Under 30 honoree, as assistant coach and director of player development Ashton Millender earned the distinction in 2024 and 2025.
