Women's Hoops Announces Exhibition Schedule

CHICAGO - DePaul head women's basketball coach Doug Bruno announced on Thursday his team's two-game 2011-12 exhibition slate. The Blue Demons host Illinois Wesleyan on Tue., Nov. 1 and St. Xavier on Nov. 5. Both games are scheduled to be played at McGrath-Phillips Arena on DePaul's Lincoln Park Campus.
DePaul's first exhibition opponent, Illinois Wesleyan is no stranger to Lincoln Park as the Blue Demons have hosted the Titans the last two seasons. Last year, DePaul topped Illinois Wesleyan 72-57 behind a pair of 12 point performances from Keisha Hampton and Taylor Pikes. In 2009, the Blue Demons won 93-49 behind 18 points from Anna Martin.
The Blue Demons and Titans tip at 7 p.m. on Nov. 1.
St. Xavier is making its first trip to Lincoln Park since 2009, on Nov. 5. The women's game is part of a DePaul tripleheader - women's volleyball against Rutgers at 2 p.m., followed by women's hoops at 5 p.m. and men's basketball closes out the evening with a 7:30 p.m. contest against Lewis.
DePaul and St. Xavier last squared off in 2009 with the Blue Demons scoring a 111-69 victory.
