Today In Blue Demon History
On September 24th 2002, Golf Finished 2nd at the Blue Demon Invitational. Kyle Patterson finished in the top 10. Patterson carded a sterling round of even-par 72 on Tuesday to finish with a three-round total of 223, good for seventh place for the tournament. Joe Hermes carded an 80 on Tuesday to finish at 228 and a tie for 14th place overall while Scott Yopchick also shot an 80 on Tuesday to finish at 229 and tied for 18th. Click Here for the full story.

Sports Report:
Men's Basketball: Two commercials were filmed this summer under the idea of linking players of the past to the 2012-13 Blue Demons. Former DePaul players Mark Aguirre, Steven Hunter, Quentin Richardson and Bobby Simmons were featured in the two commercials along with current Blue Demons Jamee Crockett, Charles McKinney, Cleveland Melvin, Moses Morgan and Brandon Young. The commercials are scheduled to hit the airwaves this afternoon in Chicagoland. To see the commercials online, "like" DePaul Athletics, The Daily Demon, or Blue Crew on Facebook.
Men's Golf: With darkness suspending the second round on Sunday evening, the DePaul men's golf team is tied for 10th after one official round of play. The second round will continue on Monday morning followed by the final 18 holes. Russell Budd and John Pavelko lead the Blue Demon with scores of 75 over the first round. Women's Soccer: All it took was four minutes for DePaul to play its best offensive soccer of the season. An avalanche of second-half goals by the Blue Demons buried Pittsburgh 4-0 Sunday at Wish Field in a BIG EAST Conference match. Click Here for the full story.
Women's Volleyball: The DePaul volleyball team dropped a hard fought match 3-1 (26-28, 25-13, 25-23, 25-20) against the University of Cincinnati at Fifth Third Arena on Sunday, September 23. On Friday the team fell short in its BIG EAST opener, dropping a 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-22) decision with No. 10 Louisville on Friday, September 21 at the KFC Yum! Center. Men's Tennis: Freshman Kyle Johnson advanced to the Flight B singles semifinal draw with a pair of wins as the DePaul men's tennis team cruised through day two at the Purdue Invitational on Saturday, September 22. Click Here for the full story.
Men's Soccer: A first half scoring outburst by No. 14/10 Marquette proved too much for the DePaul men's soccer team to overcome on Saturday night as the Blue Demons dropped their BIG EAST Conference opener, 5-0, on the road. Click Here for the full story.
