Today In Blue Demon History
On September 6th 2002, The DePaul women's soccer team won their second straight game of the year with a 3-2 decision over Indiana State. The Blue Demons fell behind twice, but Julianne Sitch scored the match's final goal in the 87th minute to seal the win. For the match, DePaul outshot Indiana State, 18-10, while forcing Niman to make 13 saves. Nine different players for DePaul took at least one shot while Keppel finished the match with four saves. In the 2002 season the team finished 10-8-1 and Julianne Stitch earned All-Conference for Conference-USA and NSCAA/adidas All-Region Honors. Click Here for the full story.

Koshwal played for the Blue Demons from 07-10. He became the 46th player in school history to score more than 1,000 career points when he reached that mark on March 5, 2010 vs St Johns. He was the first freshman in program history to be named team captain. to start bidding.
Sports Report:
Men's Basketball: The Blue Demons open BIG EAST Slate on January 2nd. The who and where will be familiar when DePaul begins BIG EAST play as the Blue Demons start the conference schedule with a Jan. 2 game against Seton Hall at Allstate Arena. DePaul concluded the 2011-12 regular season on Mar. 3 with a dominating 86-58 win over the Pirates in Rosemont.
In addition to the conference schedule, the BIG EAST released games to be televised nationally with the Blue Demons playing five of their 18 league games on ESPN2 or ESPNU. Click Here for the full article and full schedule.
Upcoming Events:
The women's soccer team heads to the Minnesota Gold Classic in Minneapolis this weekend. DePaul takes on Iowa State in a neutral site matchup on Friday night at 4:30 p.m. CT before battling host and Chastain alma mater, Minnesota, on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT.
The women's volleyball team will be back in action this weekend at the Chicago Classic, hosted at Mother McAuley High School in Evergreen Park, Ill. Participating teams include No. 4 Penn State, Oregon State and local-rival UIC. The Blue Demons will begin tournament play on Saturday, September 8 with 10:00 a.m. matchup against the Nittany Lions.
The men's soccer team returns to the field on Friday evening when it travels to SIU-Edwardsville for a 6 p.m. matchup against the Cougars.
The Cross Country Team will compete in the NIU Open in DeKalb, Illinois this Friday.
DePaul men's soccer alumni day is September 29th, 9:30 am alumni game, followed by post game reception in the Hall of Fame Foyer then 1pm kickoff against St. Johns.
DePaul women's soccer alumnae day will take place September 16th with an alumnae competition at 9:30 am, followed by a reception in the Hall of Fame foyer and a 1pm kickoff against Louisville.
