On April 10th, 2008, DePaul senior utility player Sandy Vojik was named one of 10 finalist for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award, presented annually to an NCAA Division I senior softball player who excels both on and off the field. The award was presented at the Women's College World Series opening ceremonies. Click here for the full story.

Sports Reports:
Softball: DePaul came within one hit of an amazing comeback on Tuesday.But a last-inning rally came up just a little short in a 5-4 nonconference loss to Illinois State at Cacciatore Stadium. That snapped the Blue Demons' seven-game winning streak. Click here for the full update.
Women's Tennis: A 2-0 singles weekend against a pair of nationally-ranked teams was enough to earn Patricia Fargas a first career BIG EAST Player of the Week award, announced the league office on Tuesday. The recognition was the first-ever for the Barcelona, Spain-native and the third weekly award for the women's tennis team this season - freshman Matea Cutura garnered the honor on February 5 and March 13. Men's Basketball: DePaul University has granted permission for men's basketball players Montray Clemons, Moses Morgan, Jodan Price and Derrell Robertson Jr. to contact other institutions for transfer opportunities. All four players will remain at DePaul through the completion of the spring quarter. Click here for the full story.
New Staff: We are excited to inform you that DePaul athletics announced yesterday that Sean McDonough has joined the staff as associate director of development for athletics. Previously, McDonough was assistant athletic director at Western Illinois. Click here for the full story.
