Today In Blue Demon History:
On April 29th, 2005, DePaul landed two players on the Conference USA women's tennis honor teams, Beatrix Csordas, a native of Solymar, Hungary, was named the C-USA Freshman of the Year after posting a singles record of 26-11, including an 18-6 ledger at No. 1. Csordas was also named second team All-C-USA and was joined on that team by senior Marina Parashkevova. Parashkevova, a native of Vratza, Bulgaria, was 23-10 in singles action including a 17-3 record at No. 2.

Women's Softball: DePaul was going for its fourth win in a row Saturday against BIG EAST rival Notre Dame at Cacciatore Stadium.The Blue Demons lost the opener of the doubleheader 6-3 despite an RBI single by Mary Connolly and leaving the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh. Notre Dame's Laura Winter cracked a two-run home run in the first inning as DePaul lost 5-2 in the second game. However on Sunday, Hannah Penna's game-winning, three-run home run led DePaul to a 5-2 BIG EAST win over Notre Dame. This was a great way to celebrate senior day, which honored classmates Bree Brown, Samantha Dodd and Ali Warren.
Men's Golf: The DePaul men's golf team concludes its 2012-13 season at the BIG EAST Championship, April 28-30 at the Reunion Resort in Orlando, Florida. The DePaul men's golf team sits in a three-way tie for fifth place after one round at the BIG EAST Championship on Sunday. Playing the Watson Course at the Reunion Resort, Moritz Ackerhans leads the Blue Demons and sits in a group knotted in 14th place after carding a one-over 73.
Track & Field: DePaul headed for a track and field tripleheader last weekend beginning with the prestigious Drake Relays on Friday in Des Moines, Iowa. The women's 4x100-meter relay team led the way for DePaul on Friday. The combination of Tayler Whittler, Loreal Curtis, Kayla Schwarz and Ayesha Ewing broke fast out of lane one of the Jim Duncan Track at Drake Stadium and set a new school record with a time of 46.53. Ayesha Ewing, Kayla Schwarz, Loreal Curtis and Jackie Kasal put on a record-breaking performance Saturday, finishing in fifth place in the 1600 sprint medley relay with a time of 3:52.8, erasing the standard of 3:57.37 set in 2010.
