Today In Blue Demon History:
On May 24th, 2007, Burris and Holifield competed in the women's hammer throw after finishing fourth and fifth, respectively, at the BIG EAST Championships. Burris notched a personal-best mark of 55.45m during the meet, while Holifield posted a season-best 54.21m throw. Holifield represented DePaul in the hammer throw at the 2006 Mideast Regional in Knoxville, Tennessee where she finished 22nd with a distance of 51.05m. The competition placed Burris as the 22nd seed and Holifield as the 27th seed.

The program that wins each award will receive $1500 for their scholarship funds from the revenue generated by DePaul's on-line auctions throughout 2012-13. (The Scholarship Challenge only counts Scholarship gifts that are made between May 1 and May 31.)
