Cross Country to Compete at Bradley Classic Friday

CHICAGO -- The DePaul cross country teams will race in their fifth meet of the season on Friday afternoon at the Bradley Classic in Peoria, Ill.
The events is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. at the Newman Golf Course.
DePaul is coming off a third place women's finish at the John Flamer Invitational, while the men captured fifth. Sophomore Paige Skorseth paced DePaul on the women's side, taking seventh place (23:02.81). Meanwhile on the men's side, Eddie McDaniel also finished seventh overall (25:43.25).
The Bradley "Pink" Classic will feature over 900 individuals representing 45 universities and colleges in four races. The women's 6K white race will kick things off at 3 p.m. followed by the men's 8K white race at 3:40 p.m. The NCAA Division I teams will line up for the final two races of the day with the women's 6K red race slated for 4:25 p.m. and the men's 8K red race wrapping up the event at 5:05 p.m.
All participants at the Classic will wear special pink bib numbers on the front of their jerseys in addition to having the option of wearing pink pib sheets on their backs with the names of individuals who have been impacted by breast cancer to recognize those individuals during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Bradley Classic is DePaul's final meet before the 2014 BIG EAST Championships on Oct. 31 in Indianapolis, Ind.
