Cross Country Wraps Up Second Meet of the Year

NORMAL, Ill. -- The DePaul cross country teams wrapped up their second meet of the year on Friday evening at the Country Financial Illinois State Invitational in Normal, Ill.
Both the Blue Demon men and women placed seventh.
Paige Skorseth finished with the best DePaul time for the second consecutive meet, crossing the finish line in 18:45, good enough for 39th place. Jackie Kasal (19:10) followed in 51st and Ellen Carman logged a time of 19:23 to take 55th.
On the men's side, freshman Chris Korabik led the Blue Demon charge with a 33rd-place finish (25:39). Eric Shan was next, finishing in 44th with a time of 25:57 and Jake Pecorin's time of 26:14 landed him third on the team and 57th in the race.
The Blue Demons continue their season next week (Sept. 19) at the National Catholic Championships in South Bend, Ind.
