Cross Country Teams Ready to Run at Bradley Classic

CHICAGO - The DePaul men's and women's cross country teams resume their 2015 season at the Bradley Classic in Peoria, Ill. on Friday, Oct. 16. Events for the meet, including the women's 6k race and the men's 8k race, are slated for a 3 p.m. CT start.
In last year's Bradley Classic, the women posted a 21st-place finish, while the men took 19th. The women were led by Courtney Tedeschi with a time of 22:49.4. On the men's side, Chris Korabik was the second Blue Demon to cross the finish line at 25:55.9. Tedeschi and Korabik are both expected to return to the Bradley Classic Friday.
The Blue Demon women are coming off of a second-place finish their last time out at the John Flamer Invitational on Oct. 3. The Blue Demons saw four runners finish in the top ten. Tedeschi won the race with a time of 22:07.4, while Paige Skorseth, Jessica Sanborn and Katerina Cirone followed closely behind by finishing in fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively. Each of DePaul's top-ten runners are set to repeat successful runs on Friday.
Christine Mujica, Lauren Sharp, Jessica Harris, Miranda Rea and Caroline Kurdej are also expected to compete in the 6k race.
The men are looking to build upon their third-place finish at the John Flamer Invitational two Saturdays ago. Strong performances were turned in by Jake Pecorin who took 14th with a time of 25:58.8 and Jeremy Lozano as the second Blue Demon to cross the finish line, turning in a time of 26:04.1.
Regen Hatcher, Joe Atria, James Ryan, Sergio Llanes, and Andrew Diehn are all competing Friday to make an impact for the Blue Demons at the Bradley Classic.
