DePaul Announces Hall of Fame Class of 2017

CHICAGO - Former NBA player Bobby Simmons headlines the DePaul Athletic Hall of Fame class of 2017 which will be inducted on Saturday, Feb. 25.
Simmons, who helped generate a basketball renaissance at DePaul and a return to the NCAA tournament, enjoyed a 10-year NBA career and was honored as the NBA's Comeback Player of the Year in 2005.
He will be joined by a stellar cast of outstanding Blue Demons including Mfon Udoka of women's basketball, Nives Milosevic Horacek of women's tennis who graduated as the all-time leader in wins, boxer Henry Radcliffe, NCAA Championships second-round qualifier Jevgenij Cariov of men's tennis, softball stars Yvette Healy, Karen Stewart and Nicole Terpstra Wondaal and the 2000 Women's College World Series softball team.
In addition, long-time DePaul benefactor and chair of the Wintrust Arena Fundraising Committee, Dan Ustian, will be inducted as the recipient of the Dr. Robert Hamilton Special Service Award.
The inductees will be introduced at halftime of the Feb. 25 men's basketball game against Seton Hall at Allstate Arena. The induction ceremony takes place later that evening at 6 p.m. at McGrath-Phillips Arena.
On Feb. 26, the new Hall-of-Famers will be introduced at halftime of the women's basketball game versus Georgetown at McGrath-Phillips Arena.
